  • Multidimensional and Canonical

    The system automatically measures and displays data having one to eight dimensions and treats all parameters; temperature, time, frequency, AC field, DC field, harmonic number, and sample number similarly.  Parameters are used in the script files and the data visualization fluidly and interchangeably.  The data's projection (your viewspace) is not fixed by the measurement sequence.


  • Property Agnostic

    Independently of data type, the system makes measurements and keeps track of what was measured; real, complex, or a composite list, and processes it appropriately, transparently, and automatically.  Measurements of strictly real properties like current and DC voltage, complex properties like permittivity or AC gain, and sequences like hysteresis loops or Preisach fields are not separated into different boxes until a text file is saved for external use. 


  • Unified Data Interchange

    One measurement, however complex, produces one data file, which is never modified by this system.  That data file can be exchanged like any other file; by direct file exchange, email, or for that matter, zipped with other files and downloaded from the web. That data can viewed almost instantly on any normal PC and resaved in open format with the non-copy protected program VIZ.  This means you can exchange data files with collaborators or discuss measurements on any convenient Windows PC, without loss of information, for free, and within a few seconds of first opening your .diel file with VIZ.


  • Simultaneously Flexible and Absolutely Repeatable

    Because of the use of script files, the measurement process is entirely under your control.  You can control any parameter, in any sequence.  And you can make exactly same measurement a year from now, exactly.  Or a collaborator can, even in another laboratory, if they have GADD and the same hardware.  If you are having a problem in the lab with an experiment and it needs to be restarted a dozen times, each time you restart it will reproduce exactly the same sequence of operations, without the requirement of typing a long list of numbers into a menu correctly. 


  • Drives Commercial Equipment Without Programming

    This system works with a wide range of commonly used equipment.  If a driver is not written I welcome the opportunity to write it, adding another to the library.


  • Unique Measurements

    This system's optional specialized hardware can measure complex permittivity and its harmonics at up to 10kV AC + DC and down to 1mHz. It can measure hysteresis loops, measure and calculate Preisach dipole maps, and control and measure external processes using DC voltages.  And it can automatically do those things as functions of temperature, time, frequency, AC field, DC field, harmonic number, and sample number without additional complexity on the user's part.
